About This Project

It all started on a Friday afternoon. We were just about to call it a day and then it hit me. For many years, many of Eddie Van Halen’s fans (Tom included), would paint their red Converse sneakers with the infamous black and white stripes that became such a trademark for Eddie, mainly from his hand painted guitars. So Tom went to work and created a few 3D mock-ups on the computer and then e-mailed the images to his friend Matt Bruck, Eddie’s long-time guitar tech and business partner. He passed the images on to Ed to get a reaction.

Within days, EVH Gear brand was born. Over several brainstorm sessions, we developed initial designs and concepts. Once the merchandising company was on board, we got serious about it all and started to look at garments for t-shirts, hoodies, etc. The line includes flip-flops, mugs, shirts, iPhone cases, sneakers etc etc. Needless to say it has been a very successful line of products. Give the fans what they are asking for!
